CFA Drama Club

Children are brimming over with creative juices and there is nothing more joyful then channeling that creativity into the dramatic arts. In drama club students will use imaginative play, theatre games, guided visualization, compete at FACCS Regionals, perform at the Youth Fair, have the opportunity to grow, and taste the excitement of theatre.  These drama techniques will help children learn how to cooperate and work together.  This will not only build their confidence, but they will have lots of fun! Acting Divine will be taught by Mrs. Stacey Patterson.

CFA Worship Team

This exciting club is for those students who love to sing, dance, and lead worship! Our Worship Team, led by Mrs. Amy Morrison is designed to pump up our student body each Wednesday during chapel time. They will help lead praise and worship time and/or present a special musical performance.

JUNIOR PREMIER SPORTS (K5-5th)

Junior Premier Sports LLC returns to CFA for the 2023-24 school year. Students and families will have the opportunity to represent their school as a member of the Eagles’ soccer team. Participants will compete alongside their classmates as they face teams from Alexander School, Kendall Christiana School, Saint Thomas Episcopal Parish School, Somerset Academy South Miami, True North Classical Academy, and Westminster Christian School. INTRO TO ENGINEERING BRICKS 4 KIDZ

Bricks 4 Kidz is an award winning program based on building machines and robots using LEGO bricks! The models are based on STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering, and math). Sixty minute classes once a week will help children learn how things work while fostering their imagination.

Jr. Robotics Bricks 4 Kidz

How would you like to turn your next LEGO creation into a robot?  Jr. Robotics Club offers all the fun of building with LEGO Bricks, plus the challenge of computer programming using drag-and-drop, icon-based software.  The WeDo software provides an introduction to the world of computer programming and robotics that will equip children to succeed in a technology-based market place.  This fun, action-packed program combines real life skills with real kid fun!

Soccer Shots

“Introducing your child to the world’s most popular game…soccer” CF Academy has joined with Soccer Shots, a national soccer program designed for children, to introduce students to the game of soccer. Soccer Shots not only teaches children the basic skills of soccer but places a high emphasis on character development as well. Thousands of children throughout the United States each year experience the fun and excitement of Soccer Shots! New this season: daily prizes for students, player review cards, curricula aligned with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards, class summary emails for parents, and class action pictures posted online for parents.

Creative Horizons

Students will have the opportunity to experience a variety of arts and crafts.  Activities will range from painting to sculptural, mixed media, and seasonal projects.  Don’t worry, we have lots of smocks!  Class will be taught by Mrs. Vargas.

ALL 4 HIM, Worship Dance Club

ALL 4 HIM, Worship Dance Club is why we are created! Our peace, joy, and our identity comes from God. Through dance, we will use our bodies to express
how our heart feels about God. “Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp”. -Psalm 149:3. Mrs. Shanai Hernandez will be leading our students in a worship through dance.

ViolinClass

VIOLIN CLASS for Beginners

For elementary school students from 2nd through 5th grade. Have you ever wanted to learn an instrument? If so, this may be the perfect opportunity! In this class, students will learn excellent, beginning violin technique from professional violinist, Mrs. Ashley Liberty. In addition to her performance career, Mrs. Ashley Liberty has been training young violinists for 20 years. In violin class at CFA, each student will learn to correctly hold the bow and the violin in order to produce a clear, beautiful sound on the instrument, within their first quarter. They will also have the opportunity to share their new skills in a group presentation.

NEW 4th-5th GIRLS BIBLE STUDY

Would you like to learn more about God and how to develop a closer walk with Him? CFA will be offering a weekly Bible Study for our 4th & 5 grade girls to help young girls see their identity and true worth through God’s eyes. Mrs. Danyel Moore will be leading our CFA girls.

TENNIS CLASSES

The Jane Forman Tennis Academy will be offering tennis classes at CFA. They have been teaching classes to young children since 1990. The staff will bring portable nets (preschool class only), racquets, and balls to your school after school, where your child will practice, play games, and learn the fundamentals of tennis in a fun, recreational setting. All coaches are certified tennis professionals.

New 4th-5th BOYS BIBLE STUDY

Would you like to learn more about God and how to develop a closer walk with Him? CFA will be offering a weekly Bible Study for our 4th & 5 grade boys to do just that.

PROGRAM LEARN THE POWER OF CODING WITH ROBLOX

This program is designed for children with or without coding experience. Your child will learn how to code in LUA (Roblox coding language) while using our amazing CODE editor and creating ROBLOX Mini-games. Kids will join once a week for 75 minutes.  You will receive progress reports via Parent WhatsApp Group chat and a self-study coding time after each class in order to learn from home!

New ELECTRIC GUITAR CLASS for Beginners

For elementary school students from 3rd through 5th grade. Has your child ever imagined what it’d be like to play electric guitar? If so, this may be the perfect chance for them to find out what becoming a guitar player is like! In this class, students will be given a fun and engaging introduction to the electric guitar from professional guitarist, Mr. Richard Freeman. Richard is the owner of “Tuned In Guitar Lessons”, which is located on Sunset Drive in Kendall, and has been teaching full time for the past 10 years. In guitar class at CFA, each student will learn the basics of picking, strumming and proper technique through a series of short songs and fun experimentation on the instrument. They will also have the opportunity to share their new skills in a group presentation. Mr. Freeman recommends beginners to learn on the electric guitar, and does not recommend purchasing an acoustic guitar.
