Science & STEM II: PLTW
Name:
Dr. Zoe Costa
Why do you love working at CFA:
I am overjoyed to be part of the CFA faculty! There is a saying that people may not remember every detail, but they will always remember how you made them feel. When my husband and I were searching for a school for our oldest daughter, we immediately knew CFA was where she belonged because everyone was so welcoming and genuinely cared. Today, both of our girls attend CFA, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in a community that encourages students to grow academically and spiritually while recognizing that every child is a unique gift from God. As a teacher, I strive to create a classroom where each student feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow in knowledge, faith, and confidence.
Experience:
In education since 2014, at CFA since 2026
Doctor of Chiropractic
Masters of Science in Human Anatomy & Physiology Instruction
Bachelors of Science in Biology
Life Bible Verse:
“The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing” Psalm 23:1
Brief educational/department philosophy:
My goal as a middle school science teacher is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help when needed. Science is a wonderful way to discover the order, beauty, and purpose found in the world God created. I strive to create a classroom where students feel encouraged to think deeply and grow in confidence. My prayer is that each student grows academically, spiritually, and in character while developing a lifelong appreciation for learning as we explore God’s marvelous creations.
